Frequently Asked Questions

How do I receive electronic copies of my statement?
Castle Asset Management can take care of this for you.  Just notify your representative by giving them your email address, or call your client service team at 631.952.3700

How do I change information on my account (e.g. email, mailing address, beneficiaries)?

It is important that Castle Asset Management and your account custodian have accurate information.  If you need to update account information, simply contact your representative or call 631.952.3700.

How do I access my account?

If you have already established your online account login information, you can find the appropriate link under the Client Services section.  If you would like help when setting up your username and password, we can certainly walk you through the process.

What is meant by "discretionary" account?
The accounts that we manage are discretionary.  In other words, the relationship that we have with one another, allows us to manage your assets on your behalf without prior approval for each trade.  This is only an appropriate situation when client interests are aligned with asset manager interests in a commission-less environment.  We do not receive any compensation from the buying or selling of securities or funds.

In whose name will my assets be titled and will they be insured?
The account will be established in your name (or joint names, if appropriate).  There are no lock-up periods and you have access to your assets at all times.
Our clients' accounts are insured by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), which covers up to $500,000 for situations involving accounting irregularities and fraud.  Additionally, our custodians have purchased additional coverage from outside insurance brokers.

To whom do I make my account deposit payable to?

Depending on where your account is held, you will either make your check payable to Fidelity Investments or Charles Schwab.

What are the account minimums?

Castle Asset Management believes we can provide value to clients with investible assets upward of $250,000.  While we have accepted accounts below this amount, the costs required to maintain this relationship diminishes the value we can provide.
